COUNTRY STYLE RIBS (EASY) 4 lbs. pork or beef ribs 3 bouillon cubes (beef) 1 1/2 c. water, boiling 1/8 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. soy sauce 1. Dissolve beef bouillon cubes in boiling water. 2. Add garlic powder, brown sugar, soy sauce. 3. Pour over the ribs. 4. Marinate overnight. 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. COUNTRY-STYLE PORK RIBS About 4 lbs. pork ribs 1-1/2 bottles (18 oz.) barbeque sauce 1 (14 oz.) bottle ketchup 6 tbsp. brown sugar 2-3 onions, chopped 4 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce Garlic salt to taste Mix all sauce ingredients together. Remove excess fat from ribs. Boil 10-15 minutes. Marinate ribs in sauce overnight. Cook in crockpot 2-1/2 hours on medium-high.
HICKORY COUNTRY STYLE RIBS 4 lb. pork country style ribs cut into serving portions 1 1/2 c. cooking oil 3/4 c. soy sauce 1/2 c. vinegar 1/4 c. Worcestershire sauce 1/3 c. orange juice 2 tbsp. dry mustard 1 tbsp. coarsely ground black pepper 2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley 2 cloves garlic, minced Combine all ingredients except ribs; mix well. Place ribs in a shallow pan, cover with marinate and refrigerate for 24 hours. Before camping turn meat 2 times. Place hickory chips on hot coals. Remove ribs from marinade and place on rack over coals. Cook for 1 1/2 hours or until done, basting occasionally with marinade. Serve with vegetables, salad and French bread. Serves 6 (502 calories per serving).
PICKLED COUNTRY STYLE RIBS 1 1/2 lbs. lean country-style spareribs, cut into bite-sized pieces 1 c. water 2 tbsp. catsup 1 tbsp. corn syrup 1 tsp. brown bottled gravy sauce 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. pickling spices, wrapped in a sm. cheesecloth bag Spread ribs in baking pan. Combine all ingredients, pour over meat and marinate 1 to 2 hours. Roast in moderate (350 degree) oven for 1 hour or until browned to your liking. Turn rib meat and baste with the sauce in the pan every 15 minutes. Makes 2 servings.
