I have always heard that when making tea (hot or cold) you should always begin with cold water. Cold water has more oxygen in it and beginning with cold water rather than warm or hot makes for a better cup of tea. I guess the tea leaves like more oxygen! I also know if the tea is allowed to steep too long it will become cloudy. Boil the water, then add the tea and only allow it to steep two to three minutes, and I don't remember which one, Jackie or Lutie said it, do not squeeze the bags. Hope it helps.
