SCALLOPED POTATOES

4 tbsp butter
4 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
2 cups milk
6 medium sized potatoes, peeled, thinly sliced
1 large onion, chopped or sliced thinly and separated into rings

In medium saucepan melt butter. Stir in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk. Stir constantly until boiling. Remove from heat.

Layer half of potatoes and onions in a 2-quart(2.5L) casserole. Pour half of the sauce over. Layer the rest of potatoes and onions on top. Cover with rest of sauce.

Bake covered in 350F (180C)oven for 50 minutes. Uncover an bake 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

Sometimes I throw some ham in......MMMMM

Hi Tracey. I have used this recipe for a long time and NEVER had a lump!!! It is easy and the whole family loves it!! Hope you enjoy!
