I like my mother before me makes cornbread in a iron skillet.You can use any corn bread mix fix as instructed, heat a skillet with bacon grease or lard about 3T full. pour in corn bread mix turn fire down low, cover with lid and cook slowly till top looks firm but be careful you dont burn it. then flip over on plate and put other side in skillet (This does take some practice)and cook till done And it is very good
