DRIED BEEF RAREBIT

2 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1 1/2 cups milk
1/ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
21/2 cups grated American cheese
1 cup chopped dried beef
Buttered toast or crisp crackers (for serving)

Melt the butter in a double boiler, add the flour and mustard and mix well. Add the milk gradually and cook, stirring constantly until thickened.

Add the Worcestershire sauce, cheese and dried beef and stir until the cheese
melted and the mixture heated through.

Serve on toast or crackers.
