Mint Julep Syrup Source: Cooking with Mickey Around our World From the French Market at New Orleans Square in Disneyland Makes 1 quart
1 cup sugar 3 cups soda water 2 teaspoons lime juice concentrate 1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade concentrate defrosted 6 tablespoons green Creme de Menthe or Crème de Menthe Ice Cream Topping
Combine sugar and soda water in a saucepan and stir until sugar is dissolved. Add lime and lemonade concentrates. Bring to a full boil. Remove foam head and add Creme de Menthe. Chill.
To serve, combine 3 parts syrup with 5 parts chilled water and ice. Shaved ice or sno cone ice works best. Add mint and a cherry if you have them.
