HOT BACON AND CHEESE DIP8 slices bacon, diced 1 (8 ounce) pkg cream cheese, cubed 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 6 tablespoons half and half 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard 1/4 teaspoon onion salt dash Tabasco sauce Fry finely diced bacon in skillet until crisp; drain on paper towels and set aside. Place cream cheese, cheddar cheese, half and half, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, onion salt and Tabasco in the slow cooker. Cover and set on low and allow cheese to melt slowly, stirring occasionally for approximately 1 hour. Taste and adjust seasonings. Just before guests arrive, stir in bacon and serve directly from slow cooker. If mixture becomes to thick, add more half and half to thin. If using apples and pears to accompany this dish, dip fruit slices in lemon juice to help prevent browning. Note from source: You can't go wrong with bacon and cheese. I particularly like to serve this with apple and pear slices or thin slices of French bread. Source: Slow Cooking: In Crockpot, Slow Cooker, Oven and Multi-Cooker by Joanna White
