OLD-FASHIONED WHEAT BREADMakes 1 (1 lb) loaf 3/4 cup water 1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil 1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup 1 2/3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour 1/3 cup whole wheat flour 2 tablespoons powdered milk 1 teaspoon fine sea salt 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast Put all the ingredients in the inner pan in the order listed, or in the reverse order if the manual for your machine specifies dry ingredients first and liquids last.
