CHEX MARSHMALLOW CRISPIES
3 tablespoons butter or margarine 36 regular OR 3 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows 6 cups Rice Chex cereal crushed to make 4 cups
Butter 13x9x2-inch pan.
In large saucepan melt butter and marshmallows over low heat. Stir constantly until marshmallows are melted. Continue heating, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes or until smooth and fluid. Remove from heat.
Stir in Chex until evenly coated. Press into pan with back of buttered spoon.
When cool, cut into squares.
VARIATIONS:
Stir in one of the following: 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces (chocolate will melt slightly.) 1/3 cup coconut 1/3 cup chopped nuts 1/3 cup glace (candied) cherries
