HAWAIIAN ICED TEA
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup hot water
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 1/4 cups pineapple juice
4 cups cold, strong tea
3 or 4 drops red food coloring
Ice cubes (for serving)
Combine sugar and hot water in a pot and simmer 5 minutes.
In a pitcher, combine the sugar solution with lemon juice, pineapple juice, tea and food coloring. Chill.
Serve over ice cubes in tall glasses.
